On the homepage, it says that we should solve at least one problem to qualify for round 1. I had a doubt. Is A1 considered 1 problem or you have to solve both A1 and A2 for it to consider 1 problem?

The more you solve, the more guarantee you will get to the next round. If you just solve a problem, it is a gamble whether there is such weird test case that might disqualify you for an idiot reason.

    ya makes sense, but I was asking in the sense for example I solve a1 and c1 (hypothetically) would it still be considered cause I don't want that I solve and it says neither A nor C is solved cause you attempted only one subpart of it :kekw:

I'm pretty sure it's just A1 actually. You can check last year's contest scoreboard to see for sure.

Under their FAQ section on the main page they mention that "_In each round there will be 4 or more problems for you to solve_". Since there is only A,B,C in this round A1 and A2 must count as seperate problems.
