Hi, This is my first blog on CF and I've recently started using it. Its a great platform and Idk if we can have a feature request here but wanna know thoughts around having a feature to like or dislike a problem.
Reason : while solving problem set if we can sort by no. of likes or likes/dislikes ratio along with difficulty range, that would be really helpful.

And let the newbie and pupil decide whether problem is good enough or not
by your logic only tourist should be eligible to decide quality of problem?
I think he is indicating that often stronger users can have a better view of evaluating whether a problem is good/bad, while in codeforces there are more newbie/pupils.

It is a good idea, but votes should be weighted. I suggest the formula: 1 like == 32^(rating/1000) votes. A 3500-rated user's vote would be equal to 1024 votes of 1500-rated users.
But for a 3500+ rated participant 1000-1500 rated problems would be cakewalk and hence votes won't be accurate.
I think for a particular rating let's say a 1500 rated problem , people with rating 1400-1600 should have the maximum weightage in the votes and should decrease as it goes up or down.
All contest coordinators on cf are high rated. One of the jobs of a coordinator is to ensure that the problemset is balanced in terms of difficulty. By your logic, wouldn't that be impossible for them then? How do you think they do it?
Yeah, I agree !!
But many times in contest like this problems are not balanced and most people don't like them. So it's good to take everyones opinion specially those whose rating lies around that problem rating and not only the highly rated ones who would solve it within 5 min even its not good.
The people did not like that contest because of weak pretests, low time limit and such reasons. The problems in this contest were excellent!

An idea by Pupil :) No Offense!! If one solves(gets AC) a problem then and only then one can like or upvote a particular problem! (hope!! people are not copy pasting soln from tutorial to get AC)
