I'm trying to gather a list of people who have participated in the most International Science Olympiads. If you've participated in more than one and want your "record" on here (or know someone who has one), just notify me somehow in the comments or whatever.

Consecutive participations in the same Olympiad doesn't count for the purposes of this list.

There's probably more than this and I've heard of several incredible people so they definitely exist...

How does one become that smart?

Not to downplay their achievements (after all, these countries get pretty decent results at Olympiads), but there is a statistically explainable trend in European countries having lots of people going to different Olympiads. When I discussed this with a certain famous Estonian IPhO person (people might know who I am talking about at this point), he pointed out that there are very few people (let alone smart people) who want to make it to any camp due to both population and Olympiad popularity reasons, which leads to a larger overlap.

As to how these people become this smart (I was more curious about how they get the time to study for this huge variety of subjects), a Swiss MO organizer (and IMO participant) told me that most schools there have a very relaxed schedule, so you're essentially free to do anything (but I believe this is true almost everywhere in the world), and they also have more exposure to Olympiads compared to other countries, apart from certain special university programs for school students like the ones that he attended.

Italian schools be like: "please don't take part to olympiads, otherwise you don't have time to do homework"

Indian school don't even tell their students about these Olympiads. After coming to grade 12 I came to know about the actual stages you are required to qualify for these Olympiads.

I remember googling this before and found someone who did the analysis for IOI+IMO: https://qr.ae/pvk2iw

But it's an old answer and doesn't include recent years (like gamegame, who has 5 IOI medals and 3 IMO medals: https://stats.ioinformatics.org/people/6229 https://www.imo-official.org/participant_r.aspx?id=29229)

I managed to advance to IPhO in 2013 but I didn't participate because it overlapped with the IOI, so someone else went instead of me
