Supporting Palestinian Youth: Our Journey to the International Mathematical Olympiad

We are working to raise awareness about the talents and potential of Palestinians. Despite the ongoing political situation, Palestinians face restrictions on their participation in international olympiads and contests. However, we are determined to make a difference.

Our goal is to help Palestine participate in the International mathematical Olympiad for the second time and to bring home a better result than last year's https://www.imo-official.org/country_individual_r.aspx?code=PSE.

I see that Palestine participated in last year's olympiads, what type of restrictions do you mean?

    Well,there are restrictions on travel procedure, we have no airports, and we have to get a lot of approvals and then go to jordan to be able to use the airport there. These restrictions are special for students from Gaza (an area in palestine) we go through hell to get them out, there are a lot a lot of travel restrictions there that they almost can not get outside of Gaza.

    Also there is no attention to these contests and fields from any institution to adopt this. So it is all voluntary work by us to prepare our students and guide them. Therefore as you can see we don't have any funds and that's why we did the fundraising.

    In addition to many more problems, I hope that helped clarifying the situation to you.
