How can I train to progress to Purple Name?

If you want to become a purple name, you need to be able to open a D question of div2 steadily, but it is not very stable for me. I've learned some basic algorithms like the data structure and shortest circuit of the line segment tree and tarjan, but I still don't know where to start with the D and E questions.     thanks for your reply. But I don't think your advice is quite in line with my quest to improve my abilities, and luck shouldn't be part of the pursuit, although luck is really good.

          I think he is one of those div. 3 trolls cuz if you look at his profile he has many <50 placements in div. 3 contests. If I were to guess, he must be at least CM on his main.

and What advice whould you give to me so i can reach specialist in the next 2 months i manged to get to green in 2 months of practice and solved 200 problems so far

      I focused on greedy-math-implementation mostly , i still dont know any graph or dp or bitmasks...etc i only know basic binary search too what helped me most is solving problems upove my rating for example i was bad at 1200 rating problems but then i went to 1400 problems which is a lot harder solved some problems then went back to 1200 rating, that helped me so much that i solved about 20 problems (1200) in a row without getting stuck at all so now i will start solving problems between 1400-1600 since i think understanding harder problems make the less harder ones easy for you , also upsolve problems from pre contests , last i used to watch a lot of random youtube videos of problems tutorials and i think that helped me develope my observation skill and thats all you need to reach pupil p.s i was solving problem for "TLE eliminators cp sheet" its free i think it helped me avoid wasting time on not so important problems

I used to be blue for a long time too! And what I can tell you is that you need to solve more problem which needs some observations, like problems tag with greedy or constructive problems. And also, try to resolve problem D and E in recently contests again.
