For a person who can do div 2 A and B comfortably and sometimes C, does practicing on D make sense. Will participating in div 1 virtual so that I start from div 2 C (div 1 A) help or should I stick to solving only C and D? Thank you.

Just do it.
Seems like you are not participating in any contest and also you submitted only 1 problem — 4A Watermelon. Why can you say that you can solve Div2 A, B and sometimes C? Did you really practiced enough time to say that?
It's implicit that he/she is using a fake account for posting...
could it be you are actually his/her fake account's fake account and you don't want downvote for your fake account and therefore reply with this account? :P
Isn't it almost obvious that he has another account from which he is participating and he doesn't want downvotes, so he posts this from a fake.
