Hello
I feel like they should see if it's cheating or not and I think depending on the code and the tests it's probably cheating
I hope someone does something about it cause that's not fair at all

cheaters like this mostly have one or several alternate accounts and they just hope that they end up in the same room as one of their alts. Most of the time they won't end up in a room and there will be no cheating occurrence

Success probability is about 50% if you have about 70 accounts.

    P = 1 — (1 — room_sz / contestants_cnt) ** fakes_cnt ~= 1 — (1 — 50 / 5000) ** 70 ~= 0.5. xD

This guy couldn't even solve div2 A and is ranked 52. Are you kidding me? Please take some action so no one tries to cheat. It definite cheating, there is a special condition provided to output wrong result.

I ‘ve viewed the code and hack data, that's definitely cheating and honestly in a blatant way. May be should @MikeMirzayanov?XD

He did get away, because codeforces admins never do anything. They don't care about cheats.

Every time is the same. Someone makes angry post about cheater. Nothing happens. Finally after 250 upvotes and tons of outraged comments, all that happens is the cheater gets "disqualified" for that one round. Two rounds later he's back to cheating, and no blog, no consequences!

And if you are going to make a post suggesting improvements to the cheating system. Forget it. There are problems that have been known upwards of two years (alts submitting to disqualify in case of negative rating change, chronic cheaters have no punishment beyond disqualification in the ONE round). Nothing will happen.

In what way can the admins do better than disqualifying the cheater for one round? Ban his/her account? The cheater can always create another account right? Since these contests are all held online, there is no way to tell whether one is "honestly" doing the contest by himself. E.g. I could easily form a team of 5/6 strong coders and do a contest using a single cf account. Then I can stagger my submissions to avoid detection.

Do better? How about first offense: disqualified and -100 rating points applied. Second offense: -300 rating points, AND not being allowed to participate for the next 5 contests, AND having a permanent cheater mark. And on the third one, BAN.

"E.g. I could easily form a team of 5/6 strong coders and do a contest using a single cf account. Then I can stagger my submissions to avoid detection."

No, you can't. Coding styles differ. And honestly, "strong" coders aren't coming anywhere near your team.

codeforces is lagging bad so i can't edit the message. Note that if you just banned cheaters on the first offense, it wouldn't be as good. If there are staggered punishments, you can give them one last chance before coming down hard. And if they continue cheating, then they will have to bear the shame of the rest of the punishments.

Current system is basically useless. Equivalent to putting a violent gangster in jail for a day and then letting him walk free after a string of violent thefts.

It won't happen every time I guess....

Next time he does a contest, if he doesn't get one of his alts in the same room, he'll surely fall down.

Maybe he participates jn the contest only if he gets into the same room as his alt account?

His previous contests where he had a spike in ratings seem legit.

Atleast he didn't get the increase by hacks. But the question is if he made submissions from his alt to confirm whether his solutions were correct or not, and then submitted them

I sent a message to MikeMirzayanov 23 hours ago,but still "Unread".I can understand that there are so many messages in his "talks".But the way to report cheaters should be improved.

Someone says the admins can do nothing but disqualify the cheater for that round.I don't think so.Cheaters did that kind of scandal because of their desire for higher rating. So why not just banned their accounts.Of course they can register new accounts, but their rating will never reach a high level. Then from where they stand, cheating doesn't give them what they want.

Whatever, cheaters should && must be punished.
