Hi!

Given that the TopCoder Open location and dates have been announced (https://youtu.be/5-DaxPlqU6k, if I heard correctly it's November 13-16 in Houston), and they're reasonably close to the Hacker Cup onsite, it would probably make sense to combine the two trips into one for some of us.

By any chance, do you have more certainty with regard to dates and location of the onsite finals?

Turns out it won't make much sense to combine the two trips.

I won't be so sure, Dublin airport has US immigration before boarding, which can reduce the amount of frustration typically associated with a US trip :)

WOW! How do you know you will qualify for both of them?

He doesn't know that for sure. But every year some people advance to both so his comment is a very good suggestion.

Yeah, but that means people have to get excused from their work or college for 7-10 consecutive days. Instead 4 days of excuses in 2 different months seems apprioprate.

Add travel time and jet lag. One 8-day stay in USA is much more convenient than two 4-day stays.

So someone can't participate if he's under 18?

A standard Hacker Cup question. What happened to the last year's T-shirts? I have never received mine.
