I know I am a low-ranker contestant. But during the contest, it took me more than 2 minutes just to do something. And every 30 minutes I been logged out and it take me again 3 ~ 5 minutes to log-in. It is very annoy :( Please help me, why the codeforces was so slow. This is the second time I write this blog (The first was ignore by auto-log-out)

Yes, I lost my time for solving during the contest :( If just one time I wont mind it but it happened several times each recent contest :((

The same happened to me last contest. This time it was fine.

It was bound to happen though, this was prolly the highest participation I've seen in a coding contest in any platform

I don't understand why the same problem is happening again and again. There are 2 simple solutions:

1) Upgrade the servers. (Recently $125k were raised for 10th anniversary. So I don't see any shortage in terms of funds)

2) Put a limit on the maximum registrations.

3) Distribute contestants among different sites (m1, m2, m3 and main) for proper load balancing.

Yeah, don't allow unofficial participations during div-3 rounds.

You wouldn't have said that if you were above 1599

Isn't that the obvious solution ? If there are around 25k participants and they do not have enough servers to handle the load, then just decrease the participants.

I am pretty sure that the Codeforces team would find a better alternative.

Then people will just start making more fake accounts.

I used it and still get lag (take 2 mins to submit, click to problem). But yes, the advantage is rare to be auto-log-out
