CIIC(Ibero-American Contest in Informatics) 2021 was recently held. It is the regional competition for Ibero-American Countries, similar to CEOI, but it is online, the competition itself has no problems, the problem is omegaup.com, the page where the contest is held and the long time between each submission to the same problem, wich i think was exagerated, even when the number of participants is small. This obstructed some participant's performance. Not allowing to test different solutions quickly enough to save their score like they usually do in other platforms. The quality of the problems were good, buit this thing ruined a great contest and some participants couldnt give a best performance.

I do not pretend to defame omegaup.com or CIIC, i just want to point this in order to have better experience and contests in the future.

I dont know about other participant's but my time between submissions was like 3000s, that's close to an hour! (Was this a bug?)

Let me know if you had the same issues, and what do you think about this, is there any LOGICAL reason for this?

That should be a bug, the usual time between submissions is 60 s in that platform.

That is definitely a bug. I remember that happening once to us some time ago, it was fixed by changing the wrong clock time in the user computer (it is still a bug, as the system should not use the contestant's local machine time to determine whether it allows the submit).

You should check for bug reports or create a new one here https://github.com/omegaup/omegaup/issues/new/choose

In my experience, the omegaup developers ignore any issue that is not reported that way, and the response for bug reports anywhere else is to just please open a github issue. To their credit, they've fixed a few issues that I reported that way in the past :)
