ACM-ICPC Southern Subregional Contest (NEERC/Northern Eurasia) 2017 has ended on October 18. There were 73 teams onsite in Saratov, most of them were invited because of their result on the qualification stage.
Lasts Sunday there was a 15th Moscow Team Olympiad, high school students competition based in Moscow that is an elimination contest for All-Russian Team Olympiad. This contest is prepared by Moscow Olympiad Scientific Committee that you may know by Moscow Open Olympiad, Moscow Olympiad for Young Students and Megapolises Olympiad (rounds 327, 342, 345, 376, 401, 433).
Round will be held at 11:05 UTC on Monday and will last for 2 hours. Each division will consist of 6 problems.
Codeforces Round 440 will start on October 15 (Sunday), 08:05 (UTC). It will be based on Technocup 2018 Elimination Round 2. So, if you are a Russian-speaking high-school student, please take part in the Technocup 2018.
Codeforces Round 440 is open and rated for everyone.
We’d like to remind you that there are only a few days left before the participation cost grows again: if you pay before Oct.16, 2017, the price will be $600.
What’s more, if you have tight curricula, you can choose a short Workshop program which lasts from 9 to 16 of November 2017. Please, pay attention that the prices for a short program are also reduced.
Also you can apply for online participation and solve all the contests remotely.
This time you’ll see some new features:
1)Sometimes the coaches and ACM-ICPC seniors will be present during the upsolving, so you can ask them questions. (Special thanks to the guys who give us feedback about our Workshops!)
2) There will be organized one lecture for the division A, which will be interesting for the strongest participants.
In addition to contests, analyses, and lectures, you’ll enjoy a sightseeing tour in Moscow and events organized by our volunteers! ;)
The round will be unrated for all users and will be held on extented ACM ICPC rules. After the end of the contest you will have one day to hack any solution you want. You will have access to copy any solution and test it locally.
You will be given 6 problems and 2 hours to solve them.
The problems were prepared by Ivan BledDest Androsov, Vladimir vovuh Petrov, Mike MikeMirzayanov Mirzayanov and me.
The contest will consist of five problems and it is rated for Div. 2 contestants. The same as before, Div. 1 contestants can take part out of competition.
The problems will feature... Well, let's wait and see for another time ;) As per Codeforces tradition, moderate length text and no spoilers about the actual plot.

The Codeforces Round #438 by Sberbank and Barcelona Bootcamp (Div. 1 + Div. 2 combined) is going to be held on 05 Oct at 9:05 (UTC+2)! The round will be rated for everyone.
This round is organised in collaboration with 2nd Hello Barcelona ACM ICPC Bootcamp 2017 and supported by Sberbank, the biggest commercial and investment bank of Central and Eastern Europe, with over 175 years of history.
150 students from 53 universities, including ITMO, University of New South Wales, St. Petersburg State University, MIPT, Ural Federal University, Tomsk State University, Novosibirsk State University, Saratov State University, Samara National Research, Perm State University, and many other top global universities such as USA’s highest placing team, Central Florida University, along with Canada’s University of Waterloo, high-scoring Asian teams from Hangzhou Dianzi and Singapore, and Tokyo University, as well as Stockholm’s KTH, will be competing as individuals for the online round, which includes those of you from Codeforces!
The past week has been full of intense competitions, job interviews with Sberbank, and contest analysis and lectures by Andrey Stankevich (andrewzta), Mike Mirzayanov (MikeMirzayanov), Gleb Evstropov (GlebsHP), Artem Vasilyev (VArtem) and Mikhail Tikhomirov (Endagorion).
The event is completely international, as teams from all parts of the globe compete and practice side-by-side. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a selection to give you some idea of what’s happening at our boot camp.
And, once again, we can’t wait to see you all compete on the international stage, smoothing the road towards the April World Finals in Beijing.
The round’s creators are Endagorion, ifsmirnov, zemen and Arterm — team MIPT Jinotega, two-time medalist ACM-ICPC World Final (2016-17). The round is combined for both divisions, will contain seven problems and last for three hours.

The second round of MemSQL Start[c]UP 3.0 will take place this Saturday, September 30, at 10:05am US/Pacific.
There will be an onsite round at MemSQL HQ and parallel online rounds that will be open for div1 and div2 participants. The online finalists (placed in top 500 in Round 1) will be given 100 MemSQL Start[c]UP T-shirts.
The onsite contestants will be participating from MemSQL HQ using their personal laptops. Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 am, contest starts at 10:05 am and lunch will be served after the contest. The three winners of the onsite round will be awarded Amazon gift cards for $1000, $500 and $250. Please come early to set everything up.

I'd like to invite you to Codeforces Round #436 (Div. 2). It'll be held on Monday, September 25 on 10:35 UTC and as usual Div. 1 participants can join out of competition. Note that round starts in the unusual time!
This round is held on the tasks of the school stage All-Russian Olympiad of Informatics 2017/2018 year in city Saratov. They were prepared by Perforator, MikeMirzayanov and fcspartakm. Many thanks to the testers: sdya и BledDest, and coordinators KAN and vintage_Vlad_Makeev.
It will be a little unusual round — you will be given six problems and two hours to solve them.
