Every contest should have a cheater finding phase for finding out the cheaters. This phase can run for 30 minutes. People who can find the maximum number of cheaters can be awarded.

Edit:The award can be a simple mention not more than that.

And then we will have people deliberately cheat from other accounts so they can be rewarded.

I didnot mean that that award is something very special. It can be a simple mention like best hackers. But found cheaters will be severly punished. Thus it will become a loss for those people who just intentionally cheated.

That makes sense. Anyways, we do need some kind of method of catching them instead of just public blogs.

Thats also my point. No more blogs on same topic and at the same time real coders should get what they deserve.

How many account a cheater will create for being awarded?I dont think he can create so many account just for this purpose.

Depends on the reward. I think cheater finding should not influence CF rating, maybe contribution will be better?

I just said that it should not be something huge.A simple mention for their hard work who will find them.

Have you imagined how the process would look like? I send cheater profiles and who checks it? Seems like a person should check and compare the codes. I'm not against you, just asking how it can be implemented in real.

I saw something like this in leetcode. They declare that with reasonable proof people will report cheaters' submissions to the admins and they will take proper action and the person who found cheater is rewarded with 100 leetcode coins.something like this can be implemented. Actually at present many preople are finding cheaters and reporting to Mike. The same thing can happen as an official phase.More people can give their valuable 30 minutes for this purpose. And this will make things easier.

Ironic that this may actually encourage cheating.

I just proposed a way not more than that. But to be honest it is not possible for a person to create own fake accounts and cheating with them and get rewarded.Everyday we see many cheaters are found. The number can be beyond our knowledge too...so just creating 2/3 fake accounts and cheating with them will not make any sense.

You see the cheaters that are found. What you don't see is that the majority of cheaters are not found.

CF in old days, had blog posts as- "Here's a LogN approach to solve this problem"," Tutorial for this topic". But nowadays all I see is- "Ban cheaters from contests"," Decrease his/her rating" ,"Mike you should do something". Damn, I miss those old cf days

Please think, if there is a proper action,no blogs will be written and everything will be right.

I totally agree with your points, and something must be done. But to say honestly, I am really tired of these types of blogs, in every 2 hours, someone post a new blog exposing people. This way,it may cover the good and quality blogs.
