(Closed) Clash of date and time of Codeforces Round #416 (Div. 2) with Snackdown Pre-elimination Round.

Hello everyone, Snackdown Pre-elimination Round A is scheduled on 27th May at 21:00. Along with that Codeforces Round #416 (Div. 2) is also scheduled on the same day at 20:05. It would be better if we can re-schedule Round #416 a day before or later. So, can we shift the dates?

Update: The issue is clear. There was discrepancy regarding whether Snackdown Pre-elimination rankings will be ACM style or score based. As they mention ACM style in contest page and score based in Rules section. Upon hovering over to rules page it is now clear that the ranklist will be score based.

The pre-elimination round is 24 hours and you will only miss one hour — personally, I don't think it is too big of a deal, since you won't be awake for 24 hours doing it anyway (I hope not). Remember that it's actually a lot of work to reschedule a contest.

    The rankings will be ACM style not score based. So all must start exactly at 21:00. It's of no use to start late. Time will break the ties. Check here: https://www.codechef.com/SNCKPA17

      It will be Score based ranklist.

      • Ranking page says as Score based ranklist

      • Check Judging Criteria at this link (The qualification & pre-elimination rounds will use score based ranking system.)

        Oh I see..But in the contest page, they mention it will be ACM style. Such ambiguity! Thanks btw, it will be scorebased!

      Elimination Round: Teams having top 1000 ranks from either pre-elimination round A or pre-elimination round B get to participate in this online round. This will be a 5 hour ACM ICPC styled contest having around 9 problems.

      Note: Pre-elimination rounds uses a score based ranking system, which implies that ties will not be broken. Hence, any team whose rank ≤ 1000 will qualify to appear for this round. The number of teams qualifying for this round can easily be more than 2000.

      Take a look at the "Format" in this link.

      Basically, ranking is score based.

    i dont think that codeforces would change timings of contest bcoz of some external website contest,but for big contest like snackdown it may think(but it is of 24 hours so not much problem though)
