I have just noticed that many people (including me) have different contributions listed on their profile pages and on the top contributors list. For example, currently, on my profile, it says that I have a contribution of +16, but on the list of top contributors (http://codeforces.com/top-contributed/friends/false/page/5), it says that I have a contribution of +15. What is the reason for this?
Some more users that I have noticed with different contributions on their profile and on the top contributors list as of now are Petr, Lewin, and Edvard.
Yeah, I've noticed this a few times as well. For example, tourist's profile showed a different contribution than his entry in the top contributors list during the VK Cup.
Maybe it takes a while for CF servers to update the information, similar to how ratings used to update on codeforces.com/ratings before they did on someone's profile because of the CF cache.
Well, it's a big country. By the time numbers get from one place to another, it's not surprising if they don't add up any more.
I think it's because of some long term caches on CF.
