Hello Codeforces!

I am a participant for ICPC 2019 in PSP region. There is a rule (I am very surprised because it is still draft even some regional ended) for WF teams Selection in here. The blog mentions the Shieh-Ishihata formula, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Does anyone have information about that formula?

I think the formula is described in the paragraph starting with "Each site has its own...".

Thank you for your reply. I misunderstood that the Shieh-Ishihata formula is a formula to decide site participation score, but so it is just "(R-1)/S".

Now I have a new question: Where is the "Asia Council Rules" to calculate S(the site score)? (I searched it on the blog, but I found only the list of the members.)

This is indeed a good question. However, nobody can answer your question I'm afraid, not contestants, not coaches, not contest organizers, not even RCDs.

Maybe not even the man himself (if he can then he should have done that 10 years ago).

Fortunately, this is likely the last year we have to endure this shitty corrupted ambiguous rule. There will be a PSP final next year. Or maybe the man will find another way to qualify teams he likes that will end up solving zero problems in the WF, who knows.

        Awesome!

Unfortunately, our team is likely on the border (2nd place in KL). I will keep it up until next year (my last chance).

I think 2nd place in regional is secure, because we don't have medal rules.

The (?) sign for the 3rd rule bothers me all the night. Is that rule already decided in another place?

Oh I forgot that the selection is not based on the rule.

Asia team selection is not decided by rules. If somebody says it is, he/she is lying.
