raghav_bhalla, Nishkarsh_Arora and manasvi200 are found to be cheating for a long time. They cheated every single contest ever since they have joined Codeforces. Just for an example, I'm adding their submissions from Div2 #661 —
See the level of plagiarism in their submissions. Every single in-contest submissions from these 3 cheaters are the same. And this can't be just a coincidence because of the fact of so many such instances and that they know each other really well (have a team named "SabkeBaap").
I urge MikeMirzayanov to look into it and take strict actions against them by some kind of ban or negative rating as penalty. It's high time now, number of cheaters on codeforces are increasing like anything.
You three are such a disgrace to your institutes. Being a DTU student, I feel ashamed to be studying in the same college as one of these cheaters. DTU and IIIT-D are such prestigious institutes and you guys are just ruining its name.

I propose a rule that makes it so that all submissions obtained through cheating not be counted in the final score of the participant — this way, the true score of the cheaters will be revealed (if they have any actual original submissions, otherwise their score will be 0). They will still be included in the contest, but will have decreased score. The downside to this is that rankings will be reshuffled, and rating changes would have to be entirely recalculated. Let me know what you think.
I think a long ban and/or a red watermark "cheater" across the profile picture would do better. Then even if they are not caught again, this will give a hint that their current rating might be not reliable. Yes, the account might be abandoned then, but even with just a bad rating, they will likely create a new account anyway.

I made one of the example here. I think this will discourage users to cheat as they could no longer show their profile/rating to their friends, recruiters, Linkedin/Quora, etc.

What is the point of this blog ? Codeforces has plagiarism detectors installed and if they cheated their submissions will get skipped and it is their concern,not yours."Snitches get stitches".
If you know how many people like them get away with the detectors. And if I'm posting it, then I'm taking the matter of why significant improvements on Codeforces plagiarism is needed.

I think you both have valid points, its important when to recognize you should stop worrying about others cheating and rather focus on your own skills.
However, since your rating change is directly influenced by the rank you achieve in the contest, it's not just the cheaters being unfair to themselves, it's actually all the participants getting an unfair disadvantage. So, if its just them denying their opportunity to improve their own skills, we shouldn't worry about this; however, seeing as everyone who participated fairly is negatively impacted, action needs to be taken.

I wonder why students from such reputed colleges also cheats , they don't have any lack of opportunities . Hundred of companies (even MNCs) visits their campuses , but still why they do so?

Then how does rating gonna differentiate them . Every, individual will get chance as per his GPA score , and his skills will be judged through interviews and tests. Where does rating comes to play (they don't need any referrals).

Please explain how rating affects anything. I have a friend who is a Master at IIITD and he has 0 benefit in internships. So please, tell me so that I can inform him of what he has missed.
When we hack someone's facebook account or even insults someone or bully someone . Police and Jurisdiction comes into play . Then why not, Codeforces should take police actions such cheaters who are harming this community .

There are hundreds of cheaters in every contest.Codeforces doesnt care about them because cheaters are the least of their concerns.Every year they are improving their plagiarism detectors and if they get caught,their submissions are skipped.This is the most they can do.Ratings don't matter and these cheaters wont reach very far using these methods.
Even if they punish just 10 of them, this will create a fear in others and cheating will definitely reduce.
Nowadays people thinks , if they are caught cheating , just make a new account and its done. Punishing them physically or personally is very important to stop them.

I won't mind . Whatever be my age, i am enough for these cheaters . By your logic , thief just stole , or bank robbers just rob money . They all should be ignored.
You can't imagine ,how these people are going to harm our society in future. All the fraudsters, scammers around the world begins from this stage . They all need to eliminated or just change their habit at their beginning stage.

On some occasions, there are also cheaters that work as a team (1 account) in one contest. There is no hard proof but you can see their thigh / unusual time of submission and noticeable different style in the code.
We need a cheater tag on the profiles of people who cheat it will be better than not giving rating of contest in which they have cheated ratings. Or their rating should be decreased by a considerable amount so that they do not cheat in future

Anyways, if you are opening account for CP coaching, you don't even meet the minimum requirements for official coach as you don't have coach rights on CF(Candidate Master). For the second sentence, you want to solve the contest in a team right? 3 pupils combined won't even be near the strength of a blue. So no one cares.
