For the next one year, I am taking up a challenge to get to at least a 2000 rating. I don't know if I would be able to complete this challenge, but it definitely would be fun!

I got the inspiration for the challenge from Kaunta's profile!

I will figure things out along the way.

I know it won't be easy, but I want to prove to myself that I can do this.

Wish me luck!

He started at 1500 rating which means, he may have practiced before, he was just attending contests

Earlier rating used to start with 1500 for new accounts. See any older profile(you look at mine as well), you'll get it.

You're technically correct, but that's not the point. Notice how he never dropped below 1400 even with 6 contests within his first 2 months. This means that when starting, his skill level was already around 1400.

Yeah, agree. S/he might have some problem-solving background before coming to CF.

Let me give you an advice which I learned along my cp journey.. "Never be self-satisfied"

If you are able to solve a problem which was bit hard for you a few days ago. It means you improved but don't take it as a hint of your over confidence. Try to gain knowledge and experience from your mistake. You may not be able to reach pupil or other higher rating from your current rating as fast as others. But remember hard work will pay off.

It took me a full year to reach pupil, but now I overcame myself. "Know thyself"

Thank you so much, I will keep this in mind!

You are right I have trouble not being complacent when I achieve something better than I am used to. The solution that I have adopted is to first be happy wherever I am but still have a progressively increasing aim. If my aim increases in proportion to my progress, I will most probably improve consistently.
