12 октября в 17:05 по Москве начнётся Educational Codeforces Round 30.

Продолжается серия образовательных раундов в рамках инициативы Harbour.Space University! Подробности о сотрудничестве Harbour.Space University и Codeforces можно прочитать в посте.

Раунд будет нерейтинговый. Соревнование будет проводиться по немного расширенным правилам ACM ICPC. После окончания раунда будет период времени длительностью в один день, в течение которого вы можете попробовать взломать абсолютно любое решение (в том числе свое). Причем исходный код будет предоставлен не только для чтения, но и для копирования.

Вам будет предложено 6 задач на 2 часа. Мы надеемся, что вам они покажутся интересными.

Задачи вместе со мной придумывали и готовили Иван BledDest Андросов, Владимир vovuh Петров и Михаил MikeMirzayanov Мирзаянов.

Hi, Codeforces!

I'm quite excited to invite you to Codeforces Round #439 (Div. 2) which takes place at 16:35 MSK on 6 October and lasts for two hours.

One of the five problems is created by quailty, and the others are created by me. This is our first round here.

The round couldn't have been realized without efforts of KAN and vintage_Vlad_Makeev. Besides, I also want to say thanks to our testers: cyand1317, visitWorld, Nisiyama_Suzune, cdkrot and 300iq. Thanks for your help to the contest. Also, thanks to MikeMirzayanov with the fantastic Codeforces and Polygon platforms.

The contest will consist of five problems and it is rated for Div. 2 contestants. The same as before, Div. 1 contestants can take part out of competition.

The problems will feature... Well, let's wait and see for another time ;) As per Codeforces tradition, moderate length text and no spoilers about the actual plot.

I hope you can have fun during the contest. Good luck and have fun, wish you high rating!

Hi Codeforces!

The Codeforces Round #438 by Sberbank and Barcelona Bootcamp (Div. 1 + Div. 2 combined) is going to be held on 05 Oct at 9:05 (UTC+2)! The round will be rated for everyone.

This round is organised in collaboration with 2nd Hello Barcelona ACM ICPC Bootcamp 2017 and supported by Sberbank, the biggest commercial and investment bank of Central and Eastern Europe, with over 175 years of history.

150 students from 53 universities, including ITMO, University of New South Wales, St. Petersburg State University, MIPT, Ural Federal University, Tomsk State University, Novosibirsk State University, Saratov State University, Samara National Research, Perm State University, and many other top global universities such as USA’s highest placing team, Central Florida University, along with Canada’s University of Waterloo, high-scoring Asian teams from Hangzhou Dianzi and Singapore, and Tokyo University, as well as Stockholm’s KTH, will be competing as individuals for the online round, which includes those of you from Codeforces!

The past week has been full of intense competitions, job interviews with Sberbank, and contest analysis and lectures by Andrey Stankevich (andrewzta), Mike Mirzayanov (MikeMirzayanov), Gleb Evstropov (GlebsHP), Artem Vasilyev (VArtem) and Mikhail Tikhomirov (Endagorion).

The event is completely international, as teams from all parts of the globe compete and practice side-by-side. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here is a selection to give you some idea of what’s happening at our boot camp.

And, once again, we can’t wait to see you all compete on the international stage, smoothing the road towards the April World Finals in Beijing.

The round’s creators are Endagorion, ifsmirnov, zemen and Arterm — team MIPT Jinotega, two-time medalist ACM-ICPC World Final (2016-17). The round is combined for both divisions, will contain seven problems and last for three hours.

В сентябре в грантовой программе фонда Виктора Шабурова Botan Investments приняли участие 16 вузов. Больше всего студентов пришли на тренировки в ТПУ (Томск) — 42 человека, СГУ (Саратов) — 32 человека, УрФУ (Екатеринбург) — 24 человека. Больше всего тренировок за сентябрь провели КФУ (Казань) — 11 тренировок и МГУ (Саранск) — 9 тренировок. Также в сентябре к программе для преподавателей присоединились новые участники, это ННГУ им. Н. И. Лобачевского (Нижний Новгород) и ОГУ (Оренбург).

The second round of MemSQL Start[c]UP 3.0 will take place this Saturday, September 30, at 10:05am US/Pacific.

There will be an onsite round at MemSQL HQ and parallel online rounds that will be open for div1 and div2 participants. The online finalists (placed in top 500 in Round 1) will be given 100 MemSQL Start[c]UP T-shirts.

The onsite contestants will be participating from MemSQL HQ using their personal laptops. Breakfast will be served starting at 8:30 am, contest starts at 10:05 am and lunch will be served after the contest. The three winners of the onsite round will be awarded Amazon gift cards for $1000, $500 and $250. Please come early to set everything up.

25 сентября 2017 года в 13:35 MSK состоится очередной раунд Codeforces #436 для участников из второго дивизиона. Традиционно, участники из первого дивизиона приглашаются поучаствовать в соревновании вне конкурса. Обратите внимание на необычное время начала раунда!

Этот раунд проводится по задачам школьного этапа Всероссийской олимпиады школьников по информатике 2017/2018 года г. Саратова. Задачи для вас готовили Perforator, MikeMirzayanov и fcspartakm. Огромное спасибо тестерам: sdya и BledDest, а так же координаторам KAN и vintage_Vlad_Makeev.

Участникам будет предложено шесть задач и два часа на их решение.

Hello Codeforces,

Manthan, Codefest 17 will take place on Sunday 24th September, 2017 20:05 IST with a duration of 2.5 hours (tentative). The round is rated for both Div1 and Div2 participants and consists of 7 problems.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is conducting Codefest from 22nd-24th September. Manthan (मंथन in Hindi, meaning Brainstorming), the algorithmic programming contest under the banner of Codefest, is being held as a special Codeforces round. The round follows regular Codeforces rules.

The round is prepared by bharat.khanna.cse14, ayush24 and divyam.

We express our heartiest thanks to KAN and vintage_Vlad_Makeev for their help in preparing the contest and MikeMirzayanov for the awesome Codeforces and Polygon platforms!
